Tyco Retail Solutions brings Walmart to speak at Retail Loss Prevention conference
As an associate partner of the upcoming Retail Loss Prevention conference, Tyco Retail Solutions is bringing Walmart’s Director of Asset Protection Strategic Initiatives to Sydney to discuss the importance of innovation and collaboration in loss prevention. The conference will take place in Sydney on the 17th and 18th June.
Theft continues to challenge the retail sector. The Australian Retailers Association estimates theft costs retailers $7.5 billion per year – that’s more than $25 million worth of stock stolen every day.
As the retail theft landscape evolves, so too must the technologies and strategies used to tackle the problem. Data collection, analysis and monitoring technologies give retailers the opportunity to target loss while at the same time optimising profits and productivity.
Events such as this bring retailers, experts and the security industry together to discuss how new technologies can be integrated into the retail experience. Topics will focus on leveraging these technologies into existing operations at store level and further leveraged across the supply chain to create a culture of customer experience aligned with asset protection.
Brand Elverston, Director of Asset Protection Strategic Initiatives at Walmart, will discuss how Walmart drove innovative changes to its loss prevention function through technology, an increased focus on research and development, and collaboration with both the security industry and non-traditional loss prevention stakeholders.
The conference will also feature case studies from Woolworths, Kmart, Myer, Super Retail Group and Tesco Stores Malaysia.
